To evaluate whether the research, publication, education-teaching, social responsibility, and service activities carried out within Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, and the relationships between university members and stakeholders in the realization of these activities, comply with ethical principles, and to prepare a report.

a) In this context, to provide an evaluation and opinion in terms of ethical violations, it is based on sufficient and convincing evidence that the ethical violation occurred as a result of intent and gross negligence, or as a result of carelessness and negligence,

b) Creates new principles and rules when necessary,

c) Determines the methods of applying ethical principles and rules,

ç) Develops the ethical principles and policies to be based on within the university,

d) Organizes training and similar activities to spread the culture of ethical life and to gain ethical sensitivity within the university,

e) Evaluates ethical issues arising within the university and, when necessary, suggests to the Rectorate the formation of sub-ethics committees in the fields of science, social, health, and educational sciences,

f) Provides training to individuals who will serve on expert ethics committees established within the university,

g) Ensures coordination among the ethics committees of other units within the university,

ğ) Acts as an arbitrator in disputes or unresolved issues of these committees,

h) Works confidentially on all ethical issues and problems it evaluates, decides on, and gives opinions about, and keeps all related information and documents confidential.
